Our client is looking to recruit a lead structural engineer, with oil and gas experience .
Position based in Perth, Australia for a leading Australian company.
The duties associated with the role:
Scope Management
• Review Project Task Descriptions to ensure that planned work is in line with quoted work.
• Raise SOW changes.
Time Management
• Ensure engineering tasks are completed within the allocated time
Cost Management
• Ensure engineering tasks are completed within the allocated cost
Quality Management
• Ensure technical requirements of each project are met
• Policing and reviewing engineering QA procedures
Resource Management
• Prioritize engineering tasks to ensure all projects requirements are met
• Delegate engineering tasks accordingly.
Risk Management
• Utilise technical expertise to make decisions that minimize project risk
Reporting
• Weekly project reports to be issued to clients for all active jobs being worked on by the Lead Structural
Engineer
General Daily
‐ Be first point of contact with structural engineers in project team
‐ Monitor / police engineering QA procedures
‐ Check and approve engineering calculations
‐ Check and approve engineering drawings
‐ Writing, compiling and checking design reports
‐ Provide support and mentoring to junior engineers
‐ Attend client meetings and be single point of contact for Structural engineering projects
